Early Years Direct has moved in to a new home in Cirencester. When a large unit became available at Watermoor Point, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. This new space gives us room to combine our office with a showroom and a glass-walled warehouse. And at Watermoor Point we are part of a community of other exciting businesses serving Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and beyond. 

When Early Years Direct was first established in 2007, our offices were on a former airfield near Minchinhampton. With the move to Watermoor Point we have kept the transport theme going, as the complex was originally designed and built as the UK headquarters for Mitsubishi Motors. Viewed from the air, the buildings on the site are shaped like a letter ‘M’.

Managing Director Paul Harris and Marketing Director Katie Ballard have been part of the Early Years Direct team from the beginning and took over the company in 2018 when it moved to Cirencester. Paul says, “Moving our whole operation under one roof in Cirencester is the next stage of our development and allows us to offer an even more joined up and integrated service to our customers.” 

From Katie’s point of view, inspiration is just a few steps away from her desk. “If we’re wondering which items in our range to highlight or introduce to customers, we can walk over pick them up and discuss them. It makes the job of deciding what to focus very much easier!”

More space to get hands on

Our showroom, office and warehouse are combined in one space.

The move has also provided space to make the EYD showroom much bigger. We know how much nursery people like to be hands on and to get an up-close sense of furniture and resources if they can and Watermoor Point gives us plenty of room to offer that opportunity. Our Nursery Know-how team of Sue, Jo and Pippa will be happy to book you in for a visit, show you round and offer advice and expertise.

Stuart keeps things running smoothly in the warehouse.

Our warehouse is now next door to our office in a converted post room. In fact Emma and Lisa on the sales team can wave at warehouse co-ordinator Stuart through a clear glass partition… This proximity and accessibility makes it very much easier for everyone on the team to know what is in stock on site and when customer orders are being dispatched. Our space is also connected to a larger warehousing building which makes deliveries and storage simpler too.
